Two minutes with Colin Anderson, Chef Director at The Caravan Shop
What can guests expect from an evening at The Caravan Shop?
A nice intimate evening with an extensive and curated wine list. We like to see guests try a new wine by the glass before selecting a bottle of wine to enjoy with cheeses and charcuterie - or even a mac and cheese waffle (our signature) followed by soft serve ice cream.
How would you describe the atmosphere at The Caravan Shop?
Small and intimate with knowledgeable staff. The size and popularity makes for a great atmosphere with the team weaving in and out of the guests. Downstairs, the Cellar is a cosy wine den that offers an escape from the everyday.
How does The Caravan Shop relate to Brett, your restaurant across the road?
We say The Caravan Shop is for before Brett, after Brett and if you don’t fancy Brett that day. They really work in harmony - sometimes you’ll even see staff crossing Great Western Road with oysters for a guest at Brett, or some Brett gildas for a guest in The Caravan Shop.
