Two minutes with Connor Wilson (Head Chef) and Nick Parkinson (General Manager) of The Kirkstyle Inn

How would you describe The Kirkstyle Inn?
We’re a beautifully designed pub with rooms, set in the breathtaking Northumberland countryside — in the middle of nowhere, yet the centre of everything. We offer exceptional cooking led by Head Chef Connor Wilson, four luxuriously appointed en-suite bedrooms, and a cosy bar filled with warmth and friendly hospitality for both locals and visitors alike.

Tell us about the wine list at The Kirkstyle Inn
Our list now comprises over 350 bins, including over 20 by the glass. We introduced a Coravin system to enable customers to try some of the specialist titles without buying a bottle. The list includes budget busters to aged Bordeauxs and also features wines from The Americas, Australasia and many parts of Europe - even touching on good old Blighty!

How does your local environment inform the menu in the restaurant?
We’re all about showcasing the wonderful produce and ingredients reared and nurtured right here on the moorlands. We prioritise the use of local produce from the estate and neighbouring hill farms, many of whom have worked the uplands for generations. Their deep knowledge of the land and animal husbandry exudes through the excellence of the produce served on our plates.
