JOIA Rooftop, a stylish new 74-cover open-air bar and terrace, is now open on the 16th floor of art’otel London Battersea Power Station. Sitting above JOIA, the hotel’s resident Iberian restaurant, JOIA Rooftop is the capital’s latest summer destination - serving up panoramic views of London’s skyline, alongside a selection of playful cocktails and an al fresco menu from acclaimed Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.
Taking inspiration from Lisbon’s vibrant rooftop culture, JOIA Rooftop sees Henrique’s favourite summer plates paired with sweeping views of London’s Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station and the city beyond. The perfect backdrop for a sundowner, guests can enjoy seasonal cocktails including the Aventurina, a gin-based cocktail with mint, cucumber and lime, and the Pimenta, made with tequila, agave and chilli. These are available alongside pitchers of sharing cocktails perfect for groups - including a Sangria, made from Quinta do Infantado White Port, clarified red wine and fruit, and an Iberian Spritz of black tea cordial, Amontillado Sherry and Quinta das Bágeiras Bruto Natural. The drinks list also features a duo of refreshing slushies, a Peach daiquiri and Strawberry margarita; which sit alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of Portuguese and Spanish wines from lesser-known producers.
Championing the best of British and Iberian produce, the food menu at JOIA Rooftop brings Sá Pessoa’s modern take on Iberian flavours outdoors. The menu features a mixture of snacks, petiscos and tapas designed for sharing, with signature dishes from JOIA restaurant, such as Octopus salad with red pepper, potato and smoked paprika and Tuna tartare with avocado and sea lettuce, alongside exclusive items for the rooftop, including a Prego steak sandwich and a Green salad with marinated tomatoes, figs and Moscatel dressing. To follow, guests can indulge in Sá Pessoa's sweet-savoury creation of Berries with raspberry ganache, red pepper and olive oil and a Dark chocolate mousse with sherry caramel.
Guests staying at the art’otel can also enjoy full access to JOIA Rooftop’s heated, infinity swimming pool, alongside the JOIA Rooftop bar and terrace.
