The Shawn Hausman-designed Standard Townhouse was created with both work and play in mind, making it the ideal setting for friends, businesses and networks adapting to the new normal. From brand exhibitions to corporate team building, weddings, conferences, press days and photoshoots, The Standard Townhouse space is equipped to host unique events seven days a week, supported by The Standard’s events team who are on hand to curate bespoke experiences tailored to guests’ needs.
By virtue of its 9th floor setting, The Standard Townhouse enjoys floor to ceiling windows, offering an amazing backdrop with views of the iconic clock tower at St Pancras and the South London skyline.
The 8th floor boasts a wraparound outdoor terrace for relaxing, dining and drinking. The space is designed for networking events and as a luxury work environment and can even be attached to a bedroom to create an expansive penthouse suite.
The Standard Townhouse also features a stand-out kitchen with the option to host a private chef’s table with Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, executive chef at Decimo, The Standard’s sought-after 10th floor restaurant. The chef’s table experience is exclusive to The Standard Townhouse space, affording guests the opportunity to partake in elevated cooking masterclasses hosted by Sanchez-Iglesias himself, or to enjoy Decimo’s Mexican and Spanish-inspired dishes in an ultra-private setting.
The more casual 8th floor design is inspired by a 1980s New York Townhouse, focusing on classic mid-century design with long tufted banquettes and vintage accents giving a comfortable feel to the room, ideal for breakout sessions between meetings. Further reasons to unwind are offered by a cosy corner where guests can take time to listen to the curated selection of vinyl records, handpicked by Standard collaborator Carrie MacLennan specially for The Standard Townhouse space. On the 9th floor the design has been created for an optimised creative environment, for sharing ideas and innovation in true Standard style. Thanks to its modular design with pocket doors to separate the spaces, the 9th floor layout is flexible; offered as one complete venue or as three individual entities - Townhouse North, East and South - to house more intimate meetings, training sessions, product launches, receptions or awards ceremonies. Each space is fully equipped with integrated IT, televisions, speakers and high-speed WiFi.
In restriction-free times, the maximum capacity of the 8th floor is for 60 guests, while capacities on the 9th floor range from 12-40 guests for meetings (when the floor is divided into three spaces), to 100 for receptions where the entire 9th floor is used. The Standard Townhouse venue is available for private hire 7 days a week.
