On Thursday 28th November, Mauro Colagreco and fellow world-renowned chef Quique Dacosta of acclaimed Restaurante Quique Dacosta in Spain will host a one-off collaboration dinner at Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London at The OWO.
The dinner will see two of the world’s most celebrated chefs join together for a unique dinner at the London restaurant: Quique Dacosta’s eponymous restaurant in the coastal city of Dénia is currently ranked 14th by World’s 50 Best Restaurants, while Mauro Colagreco’s Mirazur in France was voted best restaurant in the world in 2019, and now holds a place in the Best of the Best list.
The six-course dinner will see Dacosta and Colagreco present versions of their famed signature dishes throughout the evening, weaving together Dacosta’s expertise and passion for the bounty of the Mediterranean Sea and its coastlines with the fruits of Britain’s unique terroir, which is the focus of Mauro Colagreco’s London restaurants. Dishes will include appetisers such as his acclaimed Slice of dried tomato with rice vinegar reduction, Saffron-flavoured razor clam fideua and Albúfera Cacaus del Collaret peanut stew with foie gras and smoked eel, followed by Rice with black truffle ashes, and a Carob and Mediterranean pine bark dessert.
Dinner will be priced at £230 per person, with a wine pairing available for a total of £400 per person, and a non-alcoholic pairing available for a total of £330.
Quique Dacosta is renowned as a pioneer of the Valencian fine dining scene, and as a passionate champion of the region’s produce and terroir. In 1988, self-taught chef Dacosta began working at Dénia restaurant El Poblot, which he eventually acquired and renamed as Restaurante Quique Dacosta in 2009. In 2012, the restaurant received three Michelin stars, and has become famed for bringing together artistic influences, culinary creativity and a profound respect for Mediterranean produce.
Mauro Colagreco opened his eponymous restaurant at Raffles London at The OWO in 2023. Here, as the first chef to be appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity, Colagreco continues his work as a pioneer of sustainable fine dining with a menu championing circular gastronomy and regional biodiversity. In a love letter to the British country garden, the menu explores more than 70 fruits and vegetables native to the British isles.
