Constance offers a considered, classical menu, showcasing the very best seasonal British produce prepared by Head Chef, Charlie Crote. The restaurant takes inspiration from its namesake, Constance Spry, the trailblazing florist, chef and cookbook author. Her influence is evident throughout the restaurant, from the elegant interiors, the emphasis on floral displays and within dishes such as Coronation Chicken Pâté en Croute (Spry’s known to be co-creator of the original Coronation Chicken).
Constance’s menu is elevated yet unfussy, with takes on recognisable British classics prepared with the best of seasonal ingredients. Guests can begin their meal with snacks such as a Lamb and mint skewer and perfectly portioned Anchovy fingers. Starters include London Smoked Salmon, served elegantly, tableside from the roaming trolley, and Beef and tomato tartare. For mains, Constance’s signatures Clay pot chicken with barley and beer, and Hereford rib of beef, roast onions and watercress sharing plates sit alongside daily changing specials. Guests can also enjoy outstanding British seafood found in dishes such as Dorset crab vol-au-vent with Coronation remoulade, and Scottish cod cooked in Coronation butter. Desserts include Baked Alaska (sliced tableside), Trifle of the day, or pitch perfect British strawberries and cream, when the season allows.
Constance’s carefully curated wine list comes from Head Sommelier Alfie Evans-Hutchison, whilst Gavin Ross leads the front of house team in delivering seamless and convivial service.
The accompanying riverside cocktail bar, Flo, offers an opportunity to enjoy botanically-inspired cocktails and a more concise menu of snacks. Derived by Beverage Manager Stefano Chila, signature serves such as the English Garden Negroni (Constance Gin, Martini Rubino, Italicas and Tempus Fugit Kina L’Aero D’Or), and the Dandelion Martini (Nemiroff De Luxe Vodka, Noilly Prat, Dandelion, Honey), sit happily besides classics with a Spry twist, including the Spry Bloody Mary (Nemiroff De Luxe Vodka, Constance Mary Mix, Tomato). Accompanying snacks from Constance’s menu include Grilled carrot hummus, Fried skate knobs and Smoked haddock croquettes.
Designed in collaboration with Lazaro Rosa-Violán, interiors are deeply rooted in the local heritage and textures of The Thames’ shoreline, Fulham Pottery and hyper local textile traditions. Soft colour palettes meet tactile surfaces, and natural materials reflect the riverside location, enhancing the sweeping Thameside views. Vicki Byatt, Adam’s wife and owner of Trinity Florist, oversees floral displays throughout the space. Fulham’s history of craft can also be felt through the restaurant's hand-painted ceiling panels, floral-inspired art and the hand woven tapestry walls in the private dining room.
Constance opened in July 2025 as Brasserie Constance, but was renamed simply Constance in August 2026.
