LUCA, the Michelin-starred Modern Italian in Clerkenwell, will celebrate its 10th Birthday from June 2026 to June 2027 - bookending its official birthday at the end of November. The celebrations kicked off with a one-off journey on the British Pullman Train on the 4th June and will continue with a number of further brand collaborations, special menus and events, led by LUCA’s co-founders Johnny Smith and Daniel Willis.
To start the celebrations in the restaurant, this August, LUCA will introduce the LUCA10 Menu - a three-course journey through some of LUCA’s greatest hits for £75pp. Written by Robert Chambers, the menu will start with LUCA’s Parmesan fries - on the menu since day one - and an antipasto of Ligurian bulls heart tomatoes, grilled yellow peaches, stracciatella and black olive, a dish which represents LUCA’s current culinary direction. This will be followed by Taglierini of cornish lobster, datterini tomatoes and coastal herbs, a seasonal favourite for the last five years. Dessert will see the return of the Caramelised lemon tart with fennel ice cream - making its way back to the menu especially for the occasion. To end the menu, each guest will be treated to a complimentary serve of LUCA-cello.
To complement the menu will be a special LUCA10 Martini as an aperitif and a wine pairing for £45pp, curated by Head of Wine Bella Babbit, with a highlight including Roero Arneis, Valfaccenda 2024. All dishes will be available exclusively on the LUCA10 menu, which must be ordered in advance, with a limited number available during each service.
Alongside the LUCA10 menu, the restaurant has teamed up with a number of close collaborators including Hannah Martin and Ally Cappelino on exclusive memorabilia with further details to be announced in due course.
Having opened on St John Street in Clerkenwell in November 2016, LUCA has since achieved both critical - from Michelin to the NRAs and Top 50 Italian Restaurants - and local success. On the anniversary, Daniel Willis says:
“Ten years is a milestone that every restaurant hopes to reach. Looking back on the journey we've been on brings back so many memories. Given the challenges our industry has faced over the last decade, we’re incredibly proud of reaching this anniversary. We always wanted LUCA to be a restaurant that people genuinely love to visit, and somewhere guests return to time and time again. We’re delighted that this became the case; welcoming back the same faces year after year. It fills us with enormous pride to think of the countless special moments Luca has been part of. For us that is, and always has been, the greatest measure of our success. With this in mind, it felt fitting to create a Birthday menu that included some of our most beloved dishes at a price that encouraged as many of our guests to come as possible. We’re so looking forward to seeing you over the summer!”
The LUCA10 Menu will be available from 3rd August - 5th September for £75pp to include three courses + Parmesan Fries & LUCA-cello. Bookings must be made in advance with a limited amount of menus available for each service. Reservations can be made here for up to six guests maximum.
