On Sunday 28th January some of the UK’s top chefs and food writers will come together to host Souk el Salam (Peace Market) at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, to raise money for aid to Gaza.
Souk el Salam will take place between 11am-3pm at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, with use of the venue kindly donated by owner Imad Al Arnab. Chefs contributing to Souk el Salam include organisers and authors Sami Tamimi and Noor Murad, plus Ravinder Bhogal (Jikoni), Ixta Belfrage, Toad Bakery, Nicole Pisani, Jordon Ezra King, Philip Juma (Juma Kitchen), Melek Erdal, Dina Macki, Imad Al Arnab and more. As well as baked goods, products from the likes of Zaytoon, Shorkk and Fil can also be purchased.
Entry is £14, which includes two food items from any of the stalls. Further tokens can be purchased on the day on the door for £7, which can be redeemed for items at the chef’s stalls. All money raised will go to the Amos Trust, a charity which works at grassroots level to help Palestinians in Gaza.
