Tonic has reached the grand age of 13 this year. During that time, the landscape has changed immeasurably, and so have we – and we're therefore pleased to present our new branding. Not just a lick of paint, this represents a refreshed way of working collegiately with our clients, and looking after our brilliant employees so they can continue to do their best work.

We hope you enjoy this bumper edition of the new newsletter. Read on for news of our new social media agency, along with our appointment to one of the world's best chefs...

LATEST NEWS

Tonic launches Tonic Studio, a social creative agency specialising in hospitality marketing. Some of you may have heard, or read last week, that Frances and long-time Tonic team member, Rafaella, have co-founded a new social media agency together. Tonic Studio combines our love and expertise of hospitality, but through the lens of social media content creation and management.

We're responsible for the socials of some of the most exciting restaurants and venues in the UK - including Koya Ko; Jackson Boxer at Cowley Manor; the som saa team's new venture - Kolae - and many more. Have a little peek here.

All of that work means a whole new team at Tonic HQ, and we look forward to introducing you more fully in the future (keep an eye on our new socials for behind the scenes pics). For now though, here's a toast to Raff, and her team: Eleanor, Abi, Millie, Izzy, Moyo and Liv - it's a privilege to have you with us.

Tonic now representing MAURO COLAGRECO's restaurants at Raffles London at The OWO

We are hugely excited to announce that Tonic is now representing Mauro Colagreco's new restaurants at Raffles London at The OWO. The globally celebrated Chef Founder of Mirazur - which was crowned the best restaurant in the world at World's 50 Best in 2019 - has launched three restaurants at the new hotel: SaisonMauro Colagreco and Mauro's Table. We cannot wait to tell you more, and will do very soon.

KOLAE - the second restaurant from som saa founders - to open in Borough Market on October 27th

We are also looking forward to Kolae, the new Borough Market restaurant from the duo behind som saa, opening its doors on 27th October. Mark Dobbie and Andy Oliver's menu explores Southern Thai kolae cooking, with ingredients bathed in a curry-like coconut marinade before grilling. Alongside fragrant skewers, we can't wait for Rice crackers with grilled pork jowl, banana blossom and roasted chilli jam. Read more here.

We are proud and pleased to announce that Ianthe Cox-Willmott has been appointed Director of PR at Tonic, overseeing the brilliant campaigns we run here at the agency. Ianthe, formerly Account Director with us, has been doing incredible work here for the last two-and-a-half years. We are so grateful to have her bringing her strategic mind and a touch of magic to our work.

What's on this month

The Beaumont is hailing the return of the NFL (that's American football) to London with a menu of elevated hot dogs and suped-up tater tots from 2nd to 31st October. There's another kind of game night happening at The Palmerston, where Noble Rot's Alex Jackson will celebrate game season at a one-off dinner on 7th October. Luca will host three of Italy’s most renowned wine producers in The Masters, a new series of wine dinners running through autumn. Notting Hill ocakbasi restaurant The Counter will welcome historic Turkish restaurant 7 Mehmet for a unique dinner on 12th October, while 10th October will see 1 Warwick restaurant Yasmin host a one-off supperclub with mental health and suicide prevention charity Beder.

Christmas is coming...

The festive season is firmly on the horizon, and we're already planning our Christmas gifting (and our wish lists). For the food and drink lovers in your life, Poon's and Wiston Estate have packed up the most glorious hampers; Acme Fire Cult and Pastaio are styling it out with wearable merch and the Rosa's Thai cookbook is bringing some spice to the home kitchen - more than enough reason to stay off the naughty list.
