The Chelsea Pig, the neighbourhood pub from globally renowned furniture and interiors brand, Timothy Oulton, is open in Chelsea. Dating back to 1892, the pub reopened in November 2021 with a completely new menu and team following a renovation which saw Oulton's recognisable style make its mark on the historic site.

Tucked away on the quiet corner of Old Church Street and Paultons Street, whilst being just a stone’s-throw from the bustling King’s Road, The Chelsea Pig has long been a destination spot for locals in-the-know. Guests to The Chelsea Pig can expect an all-day dining menu of British classics created by Head Chef Fionnan Flood alongside a selection of premium and classic beers, wines, Champagnes and an innovative cocktail menu.

Flood’s menu champions traditional British dishes, but with a twist and a focus on seasonal British ingredients. Menu highlights include Glamorgan pork croquettes with toffee apple sauce; Prawn cocktail with cointreau and vanilla dressing; Duck liver parfait with prune and ginger chutney served with warm gingerbread; and Cracked wheat salad with feta, pomegranate, cashew and orange dressing. Mains include Spatchcock baby chicken with apricot purée and Suffolk T-bone pork chop with maple syrup and rosemary yoghurt; alongside pub classics like Beer battered haddock and chips with homemade tartare sauce; and a Wexford beef burger complete with American cheese, burger sauce. For dessert, diners can indulge in Violet crème brûlée with black currant sorbet or a sharing dish of Marmalade bread pudding and toast ice cream (obviously with two spoons).

On Sundays guests can settle into one of Oulton’s Westminster sofas by the open fireplace, before enjoying Gloucestershire pork belly with toffee apple sauce, Hereford beef rib-eye and horseradish cream, Sutton Hoo Chicken with spiced bread sauce, or Cauliflower steak in a red wine sauce - each served with all the trimmings.

The space has a uniquely eccentric interior inspired by the grand era of Victorian exploration. On arrival, guests are met by ‘Derek the Diver’, an intriguing aquarium with Derek taking prime position in a deep sea diving helmet and suit. A black crackle timber bar sits centre stage in the downstairs dining room, reminiscent of maritime carpentry, contrasting to the reclaimed Turkish oak beam flooring, whilst the natural leather banquettes facing the bar give the space a relaxed and natural feel. On the first floor is The Trophy Room, a private dining room seating up to 25 guests or 40 standing. The room is decorated with the original wall panels, set against the beautiful reclaimed mahogany parquet flooring, while a staggering 400 vintage trophies collected from around the world adorn the walls on polished steel shelves offering an unusual space for any occasion.

This month The Chelsea Pig launches The Apartment, a two bedroom suite on the second floor of the building available for private hire. Designed by Timothy Oulton Studio, The Apartment offers a uniquely hidden gem in the heart of Chelsea.
